Family #
1
For all practical
purposes, the Abner Long family has disappeard off the Stone County census
in 1870. Abner, and his eldest son, Joseph are dead. Polly has taken at least
one grandchild to Illinois in 1865, and has since died by 1868.
#10101 John Henry Long can be found in Phelp County, Missouri living with
Marquis Hull family in the 1870 census. In 1889, Thomas Mexwell was
appointed guardian, and Hardy Harp and Amanda Jane Harp testified to
his prents. I believe this is #106 Amanda.
#107 Marcellus Henry Long - according to his pension papers, he is living
in 1870 in Franklin, MO, then Lebanon, then Springfield, then Maple, AR.
#102 John P Long - a John P Long testifies in 1889 that he was present
when Joseph Calvin Long #101 married Elizabeth Retina Bobbitt. His military
records show his middle initial was P.
#103 William "Bun" Long - see later for legends about Bun. |
